BMeasure-125i Data Acquisition
The Beam BMeasure-125i unit is an innovative, flexible measurement system for general analogue data acquisition, data logging and control in the laboratory, industrial and remote sensing arenas. There are many applications including replacing PC bus data acquisition cards, measuring energy usage, production line measurements, vibration monitoring and scientific data measurement.
Where there is a requirement to sample a larger number of channels, units can be linked to provide up to 32 x 128 ksps synchronously sampled 24 bit analogue channels, this is ideal for many sensor array applications. The unit is low power and has flexible power supply inputs including POE and battery operation for remote monitoring applications.
The supplied BMeasure software toolset has been developed to enable units to be simple to configure and use. Both Linux® and Windows™ operating systems are supported. For simple measurement applications its HTTP WEB and JSON interface can be used for Python or WEB applications. Operation as an MQTT client facilitates connection to industry standard IoT cloud platforms. Operating as a data logger, the system can autonomously sample and store the data to internal FLASH memory or SDCARD for later data retrieval.

Operational ModesThe unit has been developed to be extremely flexible, supporting a number of operating modes
- Host Controlled
Controlled via a host computer over any of the communication interfaces. The BMeasure software or a user program can instigate measurements and capture data from the system. The digital IO lines can be both read and written, the switch inputs read and the relays operated. In effect it can act like a high specification data acquisition plug in card with the benefits of no physical plug in or software driver issues, remote location ability, multiple units per host computer etc.
In this mode the unit the unit can be programmed to make periodic measurements. These measurement can be saved on the unit for later retrieval or if network communication is available, data can be sent to a cloud based server.
In this mode the unit can run a custom developed program to perform measurements and process the results, This extended form of autonomous mode enables the unit to perform complex measurement sequences and perform simple actions based on the measurements such as operating relays or sending messages over the Internet. This could be used for remote sensing applications or vibration monitoring. Please contact us for further information.
